One Week Anniversary Living in Austin!
Today is my one week anniversary of living in Austin! I'm going to be real- there are a handful of people I miss so much (one in particular) that ALL I can do is think about how to get them here. Other than that..... so far I've woken up almost everyday and danced while eating my breakfast, dropped my jaw DAILY on how unpretentious and nice people GENUINELY are, soaked up every bit of sunshine, enjoyed my first Texan thunder storm, had dinner with one Drag Daughter and a spontaneous double date at a movie theater I could WALK to with the other and her awesome wife. Oh AND the theater actually kicks people out WITHOUT A REFUND if they talk or text! (Alamo Drafthouse policy- heads up- there's one in Brooklyn now too!). I enjoyed a really great conversation over mani - pedi's with a Burlesque star that gave me a totally new perspective on something important. My gardening inspiration was revamped at the Zilker Botanical Garden where I purchased a miniature world of succulents and a neighborhood walk took us to a nearby art alley actually called "Fairy Alley". This is ALL without trying...effortless (yes it took HUGE amounts of work to get here). Today I hit the pool in my donut bikini for the first time. All I'm saying is ask yourself where you are...then why...and if joy doesn't come up at all maybe rethink where you are.
