Known for her over the top blonde bombshell image and incredible ability to mix martinis in her cleavage, World Famous*BOB* has captivated audiences all over the world with her unique burlesque stylings, humorous performance art, and hosting skills. She has been photographed by hundreds of photographers including Patrick McMullan, Mario Testino, Mr. Means, Darla Teagarden, Bettina May, and David LaChapelle. *BOB* appears in several books including Hotel LaChapelle, New Burlesque, Striptease: From Gaslight to Spotlight, Burlesque: The New Bump and Grind, The Brooklynites, The Velvet Hammer Burlesque., Domestic Burlesque, Legends of Burlesque as well as The Burlesque Handbook. Believing that television is “the theater for the poor” *BOB* is a huge fan of the boob tube and has appeared on A&E’s The History of Cleavage, MTV Music Video Awards commercial as well as HBO’s Real Sex. She has graced the pages of over 50 national & international publications including The New York Times where they referred to *BOB*’s art as “poignant”.
The big screen suits *BOB* as well and her silver screen career includes a cameo appearance in John Cameron Mitchell’s film Shortbus, several lead and supporting roles in Lola Rock-N-Rolla films (Night of the Living Gay, Dragzilla, Sell Out & more), Nick Zedd’s Lord of the Cockrings and Screen Test, Ned Ambler’s Hair Burners & Burlesque, Beth B.’s Exposed and numerous burlesque documentaries including Exotic World & the Burlesque Revival by the Sissy Butch Brothers.
*BOB* has been a regularly scheduled guest speaker at NYU and has performed and appeared at over 20 US Universities including Harvard, Yale, and Bard. A creator and facilitator of gender as performance workshops as well as “The Wonderful World of Drag!” being on campus is always a highlight. They have performed all over the world and starred in five Wigstock festivals.
Some of her theatrical endeavors include being one of the co creators of Untitled Feminist Show by Young Jean Lee, a solo show creation directed by Kate Valentine entitled One Man Show, Margaret Cho’s Sensual Woman, The Sex Workers Art Show Tour, The Velvet Hammer Burlesque and Taylor Mac’s The Lily’s Revenge. From NYC’s Dance Theater Workshop to Stockholm’s Sodra Teatern, World Famous *BOB* has brought crowds together by pointing out what we all have in common… the need for love and creating that with her art in the moment.
They completed a successful run in 2024 of “AMAGING! ~ age is more than just a number ~ it’s a story” a show they queerated, directed, and co-produced with The Vortex Theater. AMAGING! starred 5 Queer Elders ages 63-90 sharing true stories from their lives. She is currently researching for her new show entitled Granny Chaser, co-hosting Campfire Queer Storytime! (monthly at The Vortex in Austin), hosting private *BOB*’s BINGO Parties, and has her own Confidence Coaching business with clients worldwide.
In an effort to create a future where all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community thrive she has co-queerated Rainbow Connections ATX a program of Family Eldercare (ATX) and is the Activities and Programming Specialist. RCATX provides free monthly activities in the Austin area for people ages 18-110 to bridge the generational gap that inhibits the Queer community from the sharing, preservation and building of our culture and history. *BOB*’s mission is to rebrand aging by dismantling the de-sexualization of older bodies and demystify death.
